Operating Principle
The ViscoLab 3000 contains a piston-style electromagnetic sensor
and RTD that provides continuous viscosity, temperature and temperature
compensated viscosity (TCV) readings.
Measurements can be made in any of thirteen 20:1 viscosity ranges
and temperature can be displayed in oC or oF.
Integrated temperature control allows user defined measurements
at any setting from slightly above ambient to 356oF (180oC) and
from ambient to -40oC with the optional cooling jacket. The sensor
is easily field calibrated. Multiple operating ranges can be precalibrated.
Data can be output to a PC via the RS-232/RS485 serial port for
tracking, storage or graphical display. The electronics allow
the user to define TCV equation values, data averaging interval,
alarm points, density and much more.
