FrameWork 1.4 SoftSensors

FrameWork's inspection paths, called SoftSensors, are drawn on the image similar to using a drawing program.

Multiple SoftSensors can be used on a single product image and may be linked to each other.

Yet each SoftSensor can signal on a separate digital I/O line, allowing isolation of individual modes (i.e. pass/fail or warn conditions).

Translational and Rotational Translational SoftSensors track the exact vertical and horizontal position of a product feature in the field of view. Rotational SoftSensors track rotational position (360 degrees) of a product. Both may be used to locate and position other SoftSensor tools.

Intensity, EdgeCount, FeatureCount Intensity SoftSensors inspect the range of pixel intensity values in defined areas within the image. EdgeCount counts the number of light to dark transitions on the image. FeatureCount determines the size of the transitions.

Measurement, Math Tools The Measurement and Math SoftSensors work together to determine distance, intersections, radius, line and angle measurements to a sub-pixel level of accuracy and provide scale factors.

Bar Code Reader Reads and interprets six different 1-D symbologies and the 2-D ECC 200 Datamatrix symbol, now used extensively in the automotive and pharmaceutical industries.

Blob Tools This tool locates and identifies groups of connected pixels (blobs) within a specified area in the field of view. Features of blobs can then be analyzed.

Template Tools The Template SoftSensors learn an area of the display during configuration.  When running inspections, this tool will locate the learned region in the whole display or perform a quality check on the region.
