Using new Diode-Pumped Solid State Laser (DPSSL) technology, the Model R8801 and Model R8901 remote counters achieve a higher level of reliability for a 0.1 micron counter than existing gas laser systems. Operating with low-voltage DC, this cutting-edge technology eliminates the high-voltage supply required for HeNe gas lasers, yet provides more power, resulting in an instrument with stable sensitivity and high reliability.
As a technology leader, Met One, a brand of Pacific Scientific Instruments, has brought DPPSL technology to airborne particle counters. This advancement enhances all of the aspects of particle counting: sensitivity, size, power consumption, stable operation and low maintenance.
Other unique benefits of this breakthrough technology are its stability, cool operation and reduced size (footprint). Using DPSSL technology, there is no gas leakage, no fragile glass tube, no lengthy light path–all characteristics of HeNe gas lasers. The Model R8801 and Model R8901 remote counters generate very little heat, so no vent holes or cooling fans are required, minimizing disturbances to airflow pattern due to convection or forced air. The compact sensor design creates a counter with minimal weight (7.75 pounds or 3.5 kilograms) and a small footprint at the workstation. The stainless steel enclosure ensures cleanroom compatibility. An optional wall mount plate provides rapid installation and removal for calibration. High sensitivity, reliability, reduced maintenance, and compact size make the Diode-Pumped Solid State Laser (DPSSL) technology, and the Met One brand, your logical choice for particle counting!
