About NDC Infrared Engineering

NDC Infrared Engineering has become a leader in the design and manufacturing of on-line continuous process measuring instruments with more than 30 years experience in the paper, plastics, converting, food, tobacco, timber, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. More than 16,000 sensors and systems have been installed to date measuring critical process parameters such as moisture, coatings, thickness, oil, protein and barrier layer determination.

NDC Infrared Engineering was formed in 1998 when Infrared Engineering, Ltd. merged with NDC Systems, Inc.  Infrared Engineering, Ltd. was operated as a private company until 1992 when it joined Fairey Group plc.  NDC Systems, Inc. was privately owned until 1997 when it too joined Fairey Group plc.  NDC Infrared Engineering has two manufacturing facilities; one in Irwindale, California and the other in Maldon, Essex UK.  Corporate offices are located in Guangzhou, China and Langen, Germany with representation in over 50 countries worldwide.

Each year more than 10% of sales is spent on development, ensuring that we continue to offer the latest innovations to our customers.  NDC Infrared Europe is an ISO 9001 accredited facility and is committed to a total quality program. All products can be delivered fully CE compliant, meeting the EMC and LVD Directives.  NDC Infrared  is unique in having its own Optical Filter Coating Plant, known as TFOD, allowing complete control over near-infrared sensor design, and reproducibility.

The company culture is highly marketing orientated and believes in establishing long term relationships with its customers. NDC Infrared is always interested and willing to work with our customers on new applications and can offer a unique ability to customize a product or system to meet a specific market need.
