Long Term Stability

Unlike other types of gauges, GBS is not affected by changes to the temperature of the air gap, The sensor can scan for days, or remain permanently fixed on the web, without ever coming off-line to be standardized.

GBS is relatively insensitive to factors affecting other techniques, such as source decay, dust and scanner alignment. The result is an exceptionally stable measurement with solid long-term accuracy.

Source Characteristics: AM241 with an activity between 25-150 mCi (0.93-5.55 GBq), energy of 60 Kev, and half-life of 455 years.
Measured Area: Approx. 0.375" (9 mm) diam. Weight: Less than 2 lbs. (910 g).
CE Mark: Conforms with EC directives on electromagnetic compatibility and safety.
Licensing: Qualified under State of California General License No. GL 1933-70, which is recognized by the Federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission and all Agreement States, No special certification of operators is required.
Options:
Air Purge for hazardous environments
Automatic, remote activated shutter
Water cooling for high temp. environment
Off-roll measurement
Extended plateau non-contact version
