The MX5000E is fast and accurate: simply place a sheet of paper in the waveguide, close the lid and an accurate result is displayed within a few seconds. The presence of a paper sample is detected and standardization is
automatic. The MX5000E is user friendly with clear help messages and language options on a 20 character LCD display.
For optimum sensitivity the Moistrex MX5000E is available in two versions; for paper applications between
30 - 250 gsm and for board 150 - 1000 gsm. The Moistrex is manufactured according to our ISO9000 quality procedures and can be supplied with Certificate of Conformance, making it ideal for use as a quality control tool.
The
well established split waveguide microwave technique used by the MX5000E reads the complete sample and thus, total moisture is measured despite any stratification that may exist. Even corrugated paper that has been compressed
or board up to 3 mm thick can be measured. Polyethylene and similar plastics do not cause a microwave loss. Therefore a paper sample can be tested without removal from its sample storage bag.
