Operating instructions

This instrument is used for locating reinforcing bars and welded wire meshes as well as for measuring the concrete cover and for determining the diameter of the bars.
All these features are held in the universal probe.
The eddy current measuring method with pulse induction ensures a high measuring stability.

TYPE S
This type has the following functions:

	Location of the bars with various acoustic and optical means
	Quick finding of bars with too small cover
	Correction of influence of near parallel bars on the determination of the diameter and the measuring of the cover
	Store the individual cover values and statistical evaluation
	Direct printer
	Simple transfer and extensive evaluation on PC with special Software ProVista

Type SCANLOG
The SCANLOG type with the «ScanCar» probe carriage allows two additional functions:

	Visualisation of the bars with CyberScan
	Presentation of the bars on grey scale

Thanks to the new measurement method (pulse induction method) the results become more precise with PROFOMETER 5. In the new Universal-Probe, 3 probes are united: the spot probe, the depth probe and the diameter probe. With the new probe trolley ScanCar the measurements of surfaces are easier, quicker and handier.
