During the measuring procedure, the measuring instrument and the upper concrete layer are placed in a vacuum under a vacuum cell. The pressure increase inside of the chamber cell given by the permeability of the concrete is measured. An important characteristic is the outer chamber of the cell. It protects from lateral air streams, which gives an important measuring accuracy.

The stored measuring data can be directly printed by means of a printer or transferred to a PC.
