ULTRASONIC AUTOMATED SCANNERS

QMI has built and installed a multitude of automated ultrasonic and eddy current scanners, ranging from large stationary scanning systems to table-top and portable scanners. All systems use QMI's or equivalent data acquisition software for C-scan imaging.

Installed Systems
  • Systems for horizontal  scanning of parts as large as 12ft by 6ft, at speeds up to 24 in./sec. They are suited for immersion, squirter, dry and AIRSCAN?/sup> techniques.
  • A vertical tower scanner to scan vertical parts up to 8ft by 20 ft, at a maximum speed of 20 in./sec. and  suited for AIRSCAN?/sup>, dry and squirter techniques.
  • Portable systems for scanning of large cylindrical, conical, and curved parts.
