Applications
The Photo-Ionization Detector Module (Model PDM-10A) is a complete
sensor module which can accurately measure the total VOC concentration
based on photo-ionization detection. The compact size, weight and rugged
construction provide a convenient way to integrate the sensor module into
a fixed point gas detection/monitoring system or bench top gas measurement
and analysis instruments. It is particularly suitable for applications on
hazardous waste sites, chemical factories, barges, and gas storage
facilities etc.
Description
The Photo-Ionization Detector Module (Model 10A) consists of a UV
light source, a detection chamber, optional sample draw pump and
associated electronic driver and measurement circuits. The sensor module
is designed so that it can be easily interfaced to a fixed point gas
monitoring system or benchtop instruments. There are five electrical
connections: V-ground, supply voltage, voltage output, current-ground and
4-20 mA current output. The Model 10A has an air inlet barb and an air
outlet barb for easy connection to external air sampling or collection
equipment. The built-in pump can be set up to 400 ml/min flow rate. This
allows air samples to be drawn into the sensor module from as far away as
200' through 5/32" Teflon tubing. The unit is preset at 40ml/min flow
rate from the factory.
