| Multifunction Detector 170
The SDT 170 is a measuring instrument designed to perform
predictive maintenance and quality control functions. It combines
technology with simplicity, providing a multifunctional solution
for many industrial problems:
- Leak detection
- Measurement of leak flow (sccm, scfm)
- Control of mechanical wear (dBµV)
- Tightness control (dBµV)
- Contact temperature measurement (ºC, ºK, ºF, ºR)
- Non-contact temperature measurement (infrared)
- Measurement of rotation speed (RPM)
- Measurement of noise levels (dBA)
- Measurement of light intensity (lux)
- Measurement of pH
Main Characteristics
The SDT 170 encompasses our company's vast experience in
the fields of predictive maintenance and quality control. It is
robust, lightweight, user-friendly and ergonomically designed. It
constitutes a totally efficient and simple response to the needs
of all industries interested in proper and effective equipment
maintenance, product quality and the monitoring of some
environmental conditions.
Multifunctional. To meet the various technical and
budgetary needs of industry, the SDT 170 is offered in many
different forms. It is capable of measuring several physical
parameters (dBµV, dBA, sccm, Tº, RPM, pH, lux). While
all versions incorporate an ultrasonic sensor (40 kHz), some
versions are also capable of collecting and transferring measured
data.
Ergonomically designed and user-friendly
The SDT 170 is a hand-held instrument controlled by an 8 key touchpad.
The liquid crystal screen displays all parameters needed for its use.
The technical training requires about ten minutes. The aluminum case
is protected by "anti-shock" insulation and the rechargeable
battery block is removable allowing more than 8 hours of use.
Intelligent, the SDT 170 automatically recognizes the
sensors upon connection and sets appropriate parameters
accordingly. Some versions are equipped to accept user defined
parameters such as the measurement and collection of data at set
intervals.
Digital and versatile, the advanced electronics permits
the use of other original accessories. In the future, additional
sensors, whether as a result of particular requests or as a
perceived need for industry, will become available, complementing
its functionality.
SDT Configurations
The SDT
170-S includes the hand-held ultrasound
detector/display unit, headphones, battery, charger, holster and
rugged carrying case. The unit itself also comes with a strap.
Internal software configured to measure, by means of digital bar
graph and heterodyne airborne ultrasound to headset.
The SDT
170-M adds a digital numbering readout (dBuV), contact
probe, probe tip, 1000 point internal memory (each point can record
and store up to four different measurements, date and time stamp)
and the following additional sensor measurement options activated:
airborne sound level metering dB(A), tachometer (RPM), temperature
(deg. F, C, R, or K), light level (lux), and pH. Sensors for these
functions are optional and are sold separately.
The SDT
170-MD includes all of the above features and expands
memory up to 15,000 points (each point can now be identified with up
to 10 alphanumeric characters), activation of the RS-232/IRDA ports
and full data logger, remote database/trend/alarm/warning level
management software with full upload and download data transmission
capabilities. As for the SDT 170-M, sensors for the other functions
are sold separately.
