Active Single Sensor Probes (AMIGO)
To complement the AMIGO site instrument, a range of active probes are available. As well as miniturised amplification and filtering electronics, these probes contain a small microprocessor which, amoungst other things, allows the AMIGO to identify probe type and serial number and automatically configure itself to suit, thereby eliminating any chance of operator error.
TSC produce a range of active single sensor probes for different geometries as shown below. For best results, it is important to use the correct probe for the geometry encountered. All probes have integral 5m Cables as standard (optionally extendable up to 50m). Special probes for shallow underwater use are also available (geometry as for the standard U21 probes). Note that active probes cannot be used with the U9, U19, U12 or U21 instruments.

Standard Array Probes
ACFM array probes contain a large number of ACFM sensors in a single probe head. ACFM arrays provide the opportunity for inspecting larger areas for each probe deployment than can be achieved by manual scanning. Arrays can be fitted with encoder wheels for positional feedback, and multi directional fields to provide detection of defects in any orientation.
