The Weld Probe is used whenever possible for the routine ACFM inspection of welds, plate and tubulars. Other probes are available for inspection in areas of restricted access or areas close to plate edges.

The probe contains a sensor coil pair consisting of a Bx and Bz coil wound concentrically. The bulk of the probe is made from potted epoxy resin. The bottom face is fitted with stainless steel feet, and a brass front wear plate to take up probe wear. These are replaceable when worn. The sensors are protected by a white ceramic disc embedded in the epoxy.

Probe cables are 5m by default but probes can be supplied with extension cables or longer fitted cables. Details on request.
