The Super-Dew De Luxe Model SDDL, can be
fitted with two Shaw moisture sensors. One is enclosed in the dry-down head for use on
dry, flowing air or gas. An external sensor indicates any moisture in still air in dry
enclosures or in glove boxes
The expanding head is filled with dry molecular sieve desiccant to keep the internal
sensor dry, with a one second response for 99% full scale from dry to wet for which the
Shaw sensor is famous, far more rapid than contemporary hygrometers. Definition is to one
part in two thousand.
The instrument needs a mains power supply but is portable. The guaranteed accuracy of
measurement in very dry air is better than one part per million of water vapour with the
unique, Shaw five second, user automatic calibration check on room air.
The easily adjusted alarms with separate output switches, have red and green panel lights
for indication of normal or fault conditions. Output is 4/20 m.a. d.c. for recording, or
computer use.
